Recovery of Solar de Magalhães, project by the architect Álvaro Siza Vieira.
Building from the second half of the century. XVI, Solar dos Magalhães was the stately residence of the Magalhães de Alvellos family, having been set on fire in 1809. Since then, its ruins symbolize the heroicity and resistance of the Amaranthine population to the Napoleonic troops commanded by Loison.
